Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures. 

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Club baseball

The purpose of our organization is to provide an opportunity for SUNY Geneseo students to play baseball against other nationally sanctioned Club Baseball teams, as well as JV and Varsity teams in the northeast. Playing against a team in the immediate area of our school in a competitive baseball game.

Blue Knights Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary

The purpose of this organization shall be to provide recognition to students for their contributions of time and effort to the advancement of residence halls, to foster the Values of NRHH (service and recognition) and to improve the quality of life on the Geneseo campus through NRHH sponsored activities.

Society For Human Resource Management

Whether you are considering a career in Human Resources or just want to get some hands-on experience, The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is a great club to be a part of. The club is broken up into various committees tasked with achieving all goals of the organization, from recruiting new members to reaching out to the community to hear from knowledgeable speakers with HR experience. One of our goals this year is to win the Merit Award for another year in a row.

Her Campus at Geneseo

Her Campus writers will have the opportunity to enrich their college experience by interacting with other successful college-age women while publishing their writing on a national website. The purpose of the club is to provide a platform for young women (though not exclusive to women) of our campus to share their voices with a higher audience.

Kappa Sigma

Kappa Sigma is a men’s college fraternity. Its goals are many, but all center on the promotion of friendship, loyalty, and brotherly feeling. The objective of this organization is to excel in all phases of fraternity and student activities at SUNY Geneseo. To fulfill this objective, the development of scholarship, leadership, community service, social graces, and cultural awareness are encouraged and stressed. It is each Member’s duty to work diligently toward these objectives so that few may equal but none excel the ideal virtue of a true Kappa Sigma.

National Parks Club

As a club, we work to educate students on the National Parks and their purpose. We show students the diversity within the parks but also how that diversity works together to bring such breathtaking views and magnificent animals. We also show how environmental conservation and sustainability is promoted throughout the parks to keep that beauty. We have also started to implement to safety training into the club but talking about edible plants, knot tying, hiking hacks, and other safety things that may be important for future trips whether as a club or individuals.
