Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!
With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.
A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.
Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.
Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Sisters Making a ChangeSisters Making a Change (SMAC) is a local social service sorority at the State University of New York at Geneseo. We are proud to live by our 5 founding principles: service, unity, loyalty, scholarship, and wellness. Our philanthropy is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and every Spring we host the "Out of the Darkness Walk".

Inter-Residence CouncilInter-residence council provides the individual councils with funding to host their events. We provide leadership and mentorship to those who participate, it is a great resume builder for freshman or anyone who is looking for leadership opportunities. Hall council executives are allowed to use their experience and creativity to cater events to the things they find valuable and needed in the halls.

Delta Phi EpsilonDelta Phi Epsilon is an international social sorority founded in 1917 on the principles of justice, sisterhood, and love. DPhiE is welcome to all as our international governing board instituted a policy that welcomes transgender and non-binary members and celebrates the diversity of our chapter. Aside from social events, we also participate in fundraising for our philanthropies, participating in community service, and hosting different events with other campus organizations. Our motto is esse quam videri, which means to be rather than to seem to be. Delta Phi Epsilon celebrates the authenticity and uniqueness of each individual in our chapter, and encourages its members to be their true selves. As a sorority, we are committed to using our platform to speak out against injustices that directly and indirectly affect our members and their communities.

Slainte Irish DanceSlainte is an all-inclusive group of students who are interested in Irish Dance. As well as those who are looking to continue their dance training at school, while away from their home studios. Slainte accepts all dance experience levels. From no experience to continuing their education and learning in dance. With all our e-board members for the Fall of 2022 having Irish dance backgrounds and previous members of the club, we will be able to help assist any new and returning students in the club. As well as teach the new students to Irish Dance the basics and foundation.

Royal Lady KnightsThe Royal Lady Knights is a local sorority that serves as both a service and a social organization. RLK is the largest of its kind at SUNY Geneseo. The women of RLK are active members of the college campus as well as the community. On October 17, 1989, 20 women held a meeting in Erie Hall. This was the first meeting of the soon-to-be Royal Lady Knights. After many different names, the Royal Lady Knights was chosen and kept. "Come as you are" was decided as not only the motto, but also stands as the foundation for the organization. On February 22, 1990, the Royal Lady Knights were officially recognized as a campus wide organization. Laura Wrubel was acquired as the advisor of RLK. On September 24, 1990, the first open meeting was held, approximately 70 people attended! During the first class orientation, the RLK dance was created and has been modified since. In the Spring of 2013, along with social service organizations such as MAC and SMAC, the Royal Lady Knights joined the Inter-Greek Council and was recognized as a local sorority at SUNY Geneseo. After about 25 years of service, 50 orientation classes, and over 850 women later, RLK continues to celebrate and strives to grow with many more members to come!

Neuroscience ClubOur club is currently working with the Ronald McDonald Foundation as well The Alzheimer's Association to fundraise for research relating to alzheimer's disease.

Zeta Beta XiWe, the members of Zeta Beta Xi Fraternity at the State University of New York at Geneseo, in order to foster in college and perpetuate in the world outside, ties of friendship among college men, to inculcate them a proper veneration for democratic ideals, to assist them to exemplify in their own lives the highest ideals of their nation, and to form a society which shall forever cherish and promote these purposes, do ordain and establish the Constitution of the Alpha Chapter of the Zeta Beta Xi Fraternity.

Alpha Phi OmegaThe three pillars of Alpha Phi Omega are Leadership, Friendship, and Service. Members are given opportunities for leadership roles, whether it is serving on the executive board or leading a service project. We foster a positive and inclusive environment for students. With our open membership policy, all students can join our organization and build connections with other students on-campus. APO believes in the importance of showing up and serving our community when they need us. We have worked with local organizations in the Geneseo and Rochester areas, such as Habitat for Humanity and Open Door Mission, as well as organizations across the nation and world, such as Relay For Life and the B+ Foundation.

Karate ClubWe are an organization that aims to allow all students, regardless of experience, to learn and practice karate in a fun, inclusive, and low-pressure environment. We structure our meetings to allow each student to work to their own level of intensity so that everybody can have a valuable experience no matter their martial arts background. In club, we teach many different facets of karate, including technique, kata, sparring, breaking, and self-defense. We draw from a variety of karate styles to help establish a broad base of knowledge, and we welcome students from every style of martial arts, not just karate. Karate club is a wonderful place to begin your martial arts journey or to expand on the knowledge and skills you already have.

Wesley Foundation at GeneseoThree simple rules: Do no harm. Do good. Stay in love with God. Saying them is easy, living them out is hard; let's explore together. We are an open group based out of the United Methodist Church, and explore faith through insightful discussion, good times and of course food. All are welcome and we meet in the College Union on Thursdays at 7 pm.
