Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Voices for Planned Parenthood

Voices for Planned Parenthood at Geneseo is an organization on campus which seeks to educate students about issues surrounding reproductive justice, and raise awareness about the mission of Planned Parenthood. We hold weekly general meetings, open to any student, that focus on different topics regarding reproductive justice. Past meeting topics have included sex education around the country, the history of Planned Parenthood, and different methods of birth control. We also hold efforts each semester to fundraise for Planned Parenthood such as tabling in the union. In the spring semester, we hold our annual Sexy Egg hunt, which is an event where students learn about safe-sex practices surrounding sex toys and have the opportunity to win prizes related to sexual health and pleasure.

Knightline Dance Team

Knightline is the official dance team at SUNY Geneseo. We perform fast paced jazz routines that incorporate a kickline at Men's and Women's home basketball, hockey, and soccer games. We also perform at various events on campus such as Relay for Life. We are well networked with other campus organizations and are a close knit group that have formed an unbreakable bond. Routines are choreographed by the team captains and the team is advised by Jody DeLoria, an adjunct professor in the dance department. We hold auditions every fall semester.

Orchesis Dance Club

Orchesis is the student-run dance organization at Geneseo. Our club is for anyone and everyone! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced dancer, we have something for everyone! We have one show every semester with about 17-20 dances, each of which is student choreographed. We are the largest student-run organization on campus with over 60 members.

American Cancer Society

A worldwide voluntary organization that is committed to raising money for cancer treatments, research, and patients, and helping to educate people on all the effects of cancer and the specifics. Schools, universities, churches, and other organizations participate in a Relay for Life event. This event helps raise money for the American Cancer Society. Relay for Life lets people become more educated. We remember those who are still fighting, those who have passed but not forgotten, and those who have won the battle against cancer.

Phi Kappa Chi

We as a Fraternal Organization pride ourselves on contributing to our community in a positive manor. We look forward to putting on Welfares where the profits go to non-profit charitable organizations. We as a group make it a point to conduct ourselves in a respectful manor on and off campus.

Morgan's Message Chapter at SUNY Geneseo

Stigma is one of the main reasons why athletes with mental health issues don’t seek the help they need. Gender stereotyping, busy schedules, and a poor understanding of mental health also play a critical part. Many problems of mental health in student-athletes have been brought to light recently, but haven’t been dealt with to help their athletes in the quickest/safest manner possible. It is our role as athletes, coaches, and sports governing bodies to help de-stigmatize mental health problems and promote a culture of well-being. The goal of club’s meetings is aimed to amplify stories, resources, and expertise to confront student-athlete mental health, build a community by and for athletes, and provide a platform for advocacy. Students will be able to gain a better understanding of mental health and how to pass that knowledge to others. These goals will be accomplished through information sessions to improve these skills and fundraisers to donate as we take further action in this cause. These events and fundraisers will be another fun way to bond with others in between difficult and serious discussions, while still having a positive impact.

The Ghana Project

The Ghana Project works to encourage the health, education and overall well-being of children who lack the financial availability and resources to do so for themselves in Ghana. Through fundraising and cultural events, the Ghana Project encourages other students to become more interculturally competent and provides opportunity for students to come together and volunteer to help out others as a community. Fundraising will benefit the Agogo Hospital and Besease School in Ghana.
