Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!
With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.
A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.
Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.
Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Phi Kappa PiClio was founded in 1872 and is the oldest sorority on the Geneseo campus. We are known for our gold and white colors, as well as our flower, the beautiful white daisy. Every year we participate in many charitable events, as well as our main one being Migrant Christmas.

Sisters Making a ChangeSisters Making a Change (SMAC) is a local social service sorority at the State University of New York at Geneseo. We are proud to live by our 5 founding principles: service, unity, loyalty, scholarship, and wellness. Our philanthropy is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and every Spring we host the "Out of the Darkness Walk".

Geneseo Crew ClubCrew is a tight-knit group of people who practice the sport the rowing. As a team they build connections with each other as they work towards their goals. Crew club is a way for students to build connections with their peers, to stay active, and enjoy the outdoors.

SUNY Geneseo Pre-Vet ClubRegarding the aforementioned guidance and education our club strives to provide for its members, this is accomplished in a variety of ways. For instance, at meetings, we may go over what classes our members should be taking each semester to stay on track for graduation, as well as what classes some vet programs require. We also hold meetings that go over vet school applications and the different vet schools/programs. Regarding events, we may visit local barns or have speakers come to our campus.

Running ClubThe purpose of Geneseo Running Club is to provide a supportive environment for runners of all levels to meet and run together to promote stronger physical and mental health. Various fundraisers will be held throughout the year, to raise money for any club-related costs or to donate to charity. Members will have the option to compete in local 5k road races throughout the semester.

Delta Phi EpsilonDelta Phi Epsilon is an international social sorority founded in 1917 on the principles of justice, sisterhood, and love. DPhiE is welcome to all as our international governing board instituted a policy that welcomes transgender and non-binary members and celebrates the diversity of our chapter. Aside from social events, we also participate in fundraising for our philanthropies, participating in community service, and hosting different events with other campus organizations. Our motto is esse quam videri, which means to be rather than to seem to be. Delta Phi Epsilon celebrates the authenticity and uniqueness of each individual in our chapter, and encourages its members to be their true selves. As a sorority, we are committed to using our platform to speak out against injustices that directly and indirectly affect our members and their communities.

SIgma Gamma Phi/ ArethusaFounded in 1892, Sigma Gamma Phi, also known as SGPhi, is Geneseo's third oldest sorority on campus. We are a local organization with three other chapters at Fredonia, Oneonta, and Potsdam. Once a year we get together with our chapters, swap traditions, and have a great time meeting other sisters! In Geneseo we are involved in many philanthropic activities and charities. We pride ourselves on our commitment to bettering our community through service projects. Sigma Gamma Phi is also not your typical sorority - and we pride ourselves on that! Forming great friendships and long-lasting bonds with each other are at the forefront of our organization. This, in turn with our strong alumnae support, allow us to form a network of passionate and focused women all over the country. We are all different and unique individuals who contribute to make Sigma Gamma Phi one of the best organizations around!

Rotaract Club of SUNY GeneseoRotaract is an international service organization for young professionals, ages 18 to 30. Founded by Rotary International, Rotaract follows the same ideals such as high ethical standards, fairness, goodwill, and has a strong commitment to service and the community. Rotaract strives to build a better world through service. The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young adults to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. The goals of Rotaract are: 1. To develop professional and leadership skills; 2. To emphasize respect for the rights of others, based on recognition of the worth of each individual, and to promote ethical standards and the dignity of all useful occupations; 3. To recognize, practice, and promote ethical standards as leadership qualities and vocational responsibilities. 4. To develop knowledge and understanding of the needs, problems and opportunities on the community and worldwide. 5. To provide opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the community and promote international understanding and good will toward all people. 6. To uphold the conduct of its affairs all regulations of the College and the State University of New York.

Royal Lady KnightsThe Royal Lady Knights is a local sorority that serves as both a service and a social organization. RLK is the largest of its kind at SUNY Geneseo. The women of RLK are active members of the college campus as well as the community. On October 17, 1989, 20 women held a meeting in Erie Hall. This was the first meeting of the soon-to-be Royal Lady Knights. After many different names, the Royal Lady Knights was chosen and kept. "Come as you are" was decided as not only the motto, but also stands as the foundation for the organization. On February 22, 1990, the Royal Lady Knights were officially recognized as a campus wide organization. Laura Wrubel was acquired as the advisor of RLK. On September 24, 1990, the first open meeting was held, approximately 70 people attended! During the first class orientation, the RLK dance was created and has been modified since. In the Spring of 2013, along with social service organizations such as MAC and SMAC, the Royal Lady Knights joined the Inter-Greek Council and was recognized as a local sorority at SUNY Geneseo. After about 25 years of service, 50 orientation classes, and over 850 women later, RLK continues to celebrate and strives to grow with many more members to come!
