Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!
With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.
A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.
Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.
Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Caribbean Student AssociationThe Caribbean Student Association is dedicated to spreading awareness and educating about the Caribbean and Caribbean culture on campus. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and welcoming environment for Caribbean identifying students and all intersecting identities on campus.

Currently Known AsImprov is a safe space to learn, observe, and practice various improv games and methods while creating a fun environment. Occasionally we will attempt to put on shows if schedules permit.

Sigma Alpha MuSigma Alpha Mu has been a pillar in greek life for over a hundred years, built on fostering in all of its members the values of true manhood, democracy, and humanity. A Sammy strives to create an open and accepting atmosphere anywhere he is, whether it is in his own backyard or across the country.

Pride AlliancePride Alliance is an on-campus group devoted to discussing LGBTQ+ issues, promoting activism in the queer community, and maintaining a safe space in which all students can thrive. Pride provides a relaxed and safe environment for anyone to share and learn about issues related to gender and sexual minorities in today's world. With the help of its members, Pride plans several Late Knight events such as Second Chance Prom and Drag Ball. We also offer many other on campus events such as the "LGBT? Fine By Me" panel discussion, speakers for National Coming Out Day along with Pride Night, which is an event to celebrate both the club and the cultures it promotes. Ultimately, our goal is to make the campus a better and more informed environment so all students can call Geneseo their home.

Korean American Student AssociationThe Korean American Student Association is a cultural club that is dedicated to educating and uniting those on campus who share an interest in Korean culture. We hold two annual events, one per semester, to help share Korean culture in an engaging and unique way. Our fall event is Running Man, which shares a name with and takes inspiration from a Korean variety show. Participants work in teams to complete mini games and gain the most points out of all teams playing. In the spring, KASA hosts K-Night, our cultural dinner. It is the biggest event of the year for us, complete with dinner, dances, skits, and a fashion show that is all written and performed by KASA members.

Animal Lovers of GeneseoWe want to promote education and awareness about safe and ethical treatment of animals, and promote responsible ownership practices for people who own any pets. Our goal is to bring people together to promote awareness about being a pet owner and the use of animals in laboratories. We plan on hold events that offer a safe and convenient meeting space to talk about our shared interest in animals. Events include raising money for local animal shelters, the ASPCA, Happy Animals Club, and other organizations that share our same goal. Another event is going to nearby animal shelters to offer support and doing a show and tell of local pets for animal therapy (restrictions permitting).

Students for LifeSUNY Geneseo Students for Life seeks to transform culture by encouraging young people to work to end abortion in the United States. This is done through engaging in trainings to effectively educate students and peers, participating in tabling and other events on campus and around the community.

Pre-Dental ClubOur club is designed to create a community for students who are looking to pursue a career in dentistry. We advise students and help give information on classes, standardized tests, the application process, interviews and more. We meet bi-weekly. We hope to help students as they go through the process of applying to dental schools. We also participate in off-campus events such as workshops at UB Dental School. As stated on the Geneseo website, dentistry is an important career for public health. A career in dentistry focuses on patient health/safety while also emphasizes human empathy and care for others. "Dentists diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth and mouth. They can perform surgical procedures such as implants, tissue grafts, extractions, and can improve the patient's appearance by using a variety of cosmetic dental procedures. Alpha Phi OmegaThe three pillars of Alpha Phi Omega are Leadership, Friendship, and Service. Members are given opportunities for leadership roles, whether it is serving on the executive board or leading a service project. We foster a positive and inclusive environment for students. With our open membership policy, all students can join our organization and build connections with other students on-campus. APO believes in the importance of showing up and serving our community when they need us. We have worked with local organizations in the Geneseo and Rochester areas, such as Habitat for Humanity and Open Door Mission, as well as organizations across the nation and world, such as Relay For Life and the B+ Foundation.

Alpha Kappa PhiAlpha Kappa Phi, also known as the Agonian sorority, is an organized group of young women who strive to positively impact our current and past members, and our surrounding community in Geneseo, New York. Established in 1885, Alpha Kappa Phi has a rich history of creating unbreakable sisterhood and lasting relationships between our members, and we seek to continue that growing bond with every new pledge class. The members of this organization are kind, intelligent, resilient, and hardworking young women that use their positive attributes to uplift themselves and each other; as well as create a positive environment every member is proud to be a part of. One of our organization's mottos is "strive to lead," which we hold near to our hearts as we use our time and resources to create fulfilling experiences for our members as well as give back to the Geneseo community we love to call home.
