Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Hips 'n Harmony

The purpose of this organization is to provide all women identifying students of SUNY Geneseo with an outlet to express themselves through a student run vocal ensemble. We perform with the other 4 a cappella groups at least 2 times per semester in big concerts. We perform at gigs for other schools and at Geneseo. We are a student-run organization.

SUNY Geneseo Pre-Vet Club

Regarding the aforementioned guidance and education our club strives to provide for its members, this is accomplished in a variety of ways. For instance, at meetings, we may go over what classes our members should be taking each semester to stay on track for graduation, as well as what classes some vet programs require. We also hold meetings that go over vet school applications and the different vet schools/programs. Regarding events, we may visit local barns or have speakers come to our campus.

Women's Club Rugby

The women's rugby team competes in a small college league in the fall semester and multiple tournaments throughout the spring semester. The team works to take those of all skill levels and turn them into well rounded rugby players with a love of the sport. The team practices five days a week, leading up to Saturday game days. The team grows very close with each other and considers themselves a family.

Slainte accepts all dance experience levels. From no experience to continuing their education and learning in dance. With all our e-board members for the Fall of 2022 having Irish dance backgrounds and previous members of the club, we will be able to help assist any new and returning students in the club. As well as teach the new students to Irish Dance the basics and foundation.

Give players aren't ready to hang up the skates just yet an opportunity to play competitive hockey with teams in the region.

Alpha Omega Pi

We strive to promote closeness and personal growth through friendship and the exchange of thoughts, opinions, and feelings between all of the sisters of Alpha Omega Pi. Our organization aims to expand the participation of its members in academics by encouraging sisters to realize and acknowledge the full extent of their potential. We advance social interaction between greek life, the college, and the local community by coordinating activities and services that will be a benefit to the listed groups while maintaining the individuality and rights of those involved.

Young Children's Council

The Young Children's Council aims to connect students with the community and educate its members on the field of education through guest speakers, community outreach programs and peer communications. Bi-weekly meetings provides members with opportunities to connect with local students through our pen pal program and story time events. Additionally, members are invited to attend guest speaker events that include School of Education faculty and other organizations brought in to expose members additional areas of education.
