Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Memories Campaign at Geneseo

Memories Campaign is oral history program—in collaboration with the Geneseo English Department and the Livingston County Office of the Aging—devoted to recording the folk traditions and history of the SUNY Geneseo community. Student volunteers will be trained in recording and transcribing dialects and dialogue, managing self-limiting stories and emphasizing self-empowering stories, and publishing recorded oral histories of Senior citizens in the Geneseo community. The club will contribute magazines to the college highlighting their work with each Senior citizen.

Art History Club

The purpose of the art history club is to cultivate a welcoming community for those who are interested in learning about the topic of art history. Weekly meetings, held at 7pm on Monday evenings, will consist of various activities from trivia, to craft nights, to sharing information about the topic of art history through varying formats. There is also a plan to schedule a trip to a local art museum in the Rochester area.

Zeta Iota of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated is an international historically black Greek lettered organization. In 1920 five women from Howard University envisioned a sorority that would raise the consciousness of their people, encourage the highest standards of scholastic achievement, and foster a greater sense of unity among its members. Since its founding Zeta Phi Beta has historically focused on addressing social causes. Zeta chapters and auxiliaries have given untotaled hours of voluntary service to educate the public, assist youth, provide scholarships, support organized charities, and promote social and civic change legislation.

Circle K International

Our mission is to better the world and to foster a community of leaders who will continue to make a positive impact on the world throughout their lifetime. We participate in a variety of events such as the annual Kiwanis Caregiver Luncheon to thank caregivers in the area, the annual Amy's Walk and Theresa Walk, and the Kiwanis Halloween Parade on Main Street in Geneseo. We also have assisted in the maintenance of Oakwood Cemetery, collected donations for Comfort Cases, ran Bingo at a local Senior Living Center, participated in Adopt a Highway, and much more. We are always looking for new ways to get involved in the community and make the most of our free time.

Blue Knights Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary

The purpose of this organization shall be to provide recognition to students for their contributions of time and effort to the advancement of residence halls, to foster the Values of NRHH (service and recognition) and to improve the quality of life on the Geneseo campus through NRHH sponsored activities.

Community Health Alliance

The Community Health Alliance is an organization of students at SUNY Geneseo who strive to aid local, regional and global communities in their health needs. As students, we will address these needs with two main goals: creating healthier communities and gaining knowledge through experience in the healthcare field. By partnering with communities (working with them, not for them) we aim to work compassionately and effectively for those we serve by exchanging appropriate knowledge and resources.
