Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Hillel

Hillel at Geneseo is a place where Jewish students can find their home away from home. Hillel is committed to providing a pluralistic, egalitarian, and inclusive community for Jewish college students, where they are encouraged to grow intellectually, spiritually, and socially. We have weekly Shabbat services and dinner in addition to other religious, social, and educational events.

Sigma Kappa

Sigma Kappa fosters lifelong connection in sisterhood while being true to our founding as an intellectual and social women's sorority. Through mutual support and respect, we inspire all members to lead a life of purpose.

Karate Club

We are an organization that aims to allow all students, regardless of experience, to learn and practice karate in a fun, inclusive, and low-pressure environment. We structure our meetings to allow each student to work to their own level of intensity so that everybody can have a valuable experience no matter their martial arts background. In club, we teach many different facets of karate, including technique, kata, sparring, breaking, and self-defense. We draw from a variety of karate styles to help establish a broad base of knowledge, and we welcome students from every style of martial arts, not just karate. Karate club is a wonderful place to begin your martial arts journey or to expand on the knowledge and skills you already have.

Wesley Foundation at Geneseo

Three simple rules: Do no harm. Do good. Stay in love with God. Saying them is easy, living them out is hard; let's explore together. We are an open group based out of the United Methodist Church, and explore faith through insightful discussion, good times and of course food. All are welcome and we meet in the College Union on Thursdays at 7 pm.
