Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!
With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.
A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.
Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.
Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Phi Alpha Delta Chapter at SUNY GeneseoThe purpose of this Fraternity shall be to form a strong bond uniting students and teachers of the law with members of the Bench and Bar in a fraternal fellowship designed to advance the ideals of liberty and equal justice under law; to stimulate excellence in scholarship; to inspire the virtues of compassion and courage; to foster integrity and professional competence; to promote the welfare of its members; and to encourage their moral, intellectual, and cultural advancement; so that each member may enjoy a lifetime of honorable professional and public service.

The LamronARTICLE I: NAME The name of the organization shall be The Lamron. ARTICLE II: PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES Section 1- To act as the official publication of the students at the State University College at Geneseo by publishing a weekly newspaper through the school year, except during examination and vacation periods. Section 2 - To provide an opportunity for the development of journalistic abilities and responsible student leadership.

Art ClubEach week, the Art Club offers a creative outlet for students to express themselves. All levels of artistic ability are welcome! We seek to provide a program where students are able to utilize their talents while listening to music and communicating with their fellow peers. Meetings take place every Thursday at 7:00pm in Room 217 at Brodie Hall. Every other week there will be scheduled meetings that are selectively created. Along with open media nights that intersect these scheduled ones. All materials supplied!

History ClubThe History Club is a student-run social and academic organization known for organizing lectures, peer advisement sessions (for class registration), faculty panel presentations on the graduate school application process, trips and weekly discussion or game night meetings. Its purpose is to encourage the pursuit of historical research and interest, to provide an understanding of current events through an understanding of their historical basis, and to provide an opportunity for students to share their historical interests through lectures, discussions, and trips.

SUNY Geneseo Model UN ClubThe Model UN club holds weekly meetings which generally consist of at least one exercise meant to simulate our conferences in some way. Our conferences in a normal year would be at several colleges around the Northeast and one in Montreal, where each member of the team who comes participates in a separate UN committee simulation. The purpose of these is two debate the topic of that UN assembly meeting and over the course of the weekend, draft and debate UN style resolutions.

Voices for Planned ParenthoodVoices for Planned Parenthood at Geneseo is an organization on campus which seeks to educate students about issues surrounding reproductive justice, and raise awareness about the mission of Planned Parenthood. We hold weekly general meetings, open to any student, that focus on different topics regarding reproductive justice. Past meeting topics have included sex education around the country, the history of Planned Parenthood, and different methods of birth control. We also hold efforts each semester to fundraise for Planned Parenthood such as tabling in the union. In the spring semester, we hold our annual Sexy Egg hunt, which is an event where students learn about safe-sex practices surrounding sex toys and have the opportunity to win prizes related to sexual health and pleasure.

Japanese Culture ClubJapanese Culture Club exists to promote relations between members of the club and the community through the exploration of Japanese culture. We act as a bridge between Japanese, American, and any culture with the intention to exchange cultural views and to dispel stereotypes. We have often collaborated with other culture clubs on campus through events providing food, stage performances, and more to highlight fascinating similarities and differences between different groups of peoples around the world.

Beekeeping ClubThe purpose of beekeeping club is to keep pollinators relevant, specifically bees, and create a space for members to discuss just how important and fascinating bees are. We tend to the hives on our hive visits where members can learn the ins and outs of keeping bees. We also talk all things bee related in our weekly informative meetings that discuss topics from bee anatomy all the way to types of honey.

Women's Club SoccerWomen's Club Soccer is an organization devoted to creating an inclusive team of athletes who are interested in playing soccer above the intramural level. With weekly practices and competitive gameplay, Women’s Club Soccer will provide a welcoming environment for those who wish to come together and play soccer.

Her CampusThe purpose of the club is to provide a platform for the young women (though not exclusive to women) of our campus to share their voices with a wider audience. Her Campus writers will have the opportunity to enrich their college experience by interacting with other successful college-age women whilst publishing their writing on a national website. We allow anyone to publish articles on topics that matter to them. We host weekly meetings. We will start hosting bonding events so that our members can get to know each other more. We want Her Campus at Geneseo to be a close-knit community where friendships are formed and a safe space for all voices to be heard.
