Volunteer with the RKids After School Program - Tues. / Thurs. 3-5 PM
This dynamic after school tutoring and enrichment program fosters confidence, competence, and a sense of community connection among low-income students and families in the village of Geneseo. RKids students meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. at the Geneseo Interfaith Center, 11 Franklin St.
The children engage in diverse and interactive programming that includes homework help, visits from student clubs and College departments, arts and crafts projects, and field trips to places on campus and in the local community. Students enrolled in RKids benefit from a 1:1 student to tutor ratio, access to college resources, and a curriculum built around their interests.

Geneseo-Groveland Emergency Food Pantry
The local village pantry is open
Tuesday & Thursday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Wednesday 4 - 6:30 p.m.

YWCA After School Programs
The GLOW (Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, Wyoming counties) YMCA coordinates after school programs that are seeking participation from Geneseo students. They are looking for hands on, educational and recreational programs for kids in grades K-5 to take place between 3:30 - 6 p.m. at the Batavia YMCA location. America Reads and Counts Tutoring Program
The America Reads and Counts program was initiated in 1997 under the presidential rule of Bill Clinton. It is a nationwide objective to get children in our school systems to read independently and fluently by the end of elementary school. Our America Reads & Counts programs at SUNY Geneseo has been serving the local community since 2000.
We send college tutors to work in local elementary schools and after school programs. We have partnered with districts in Livingston County including: Geneseo Central, Avon Central, Livonia Central, Dansville Central, and Keshequa Central.

Parish Outreach Center
Shifts Monday - Thursdays, 9 a.m. - noon
The Parish Outreach Center is an all-volunteer organization that provides a range of holistic services to those in need. We are looking for volunteers to accomplish any of the following activities; office/administrative tasks, working in the food pantry, organizing food, hygiene and paper product collections, and writing newsletter articles.
On November 5, there will be a Diabetic Wellness Fair. Volunteers can help set up, cook lunch, serve lunch, work at various clinics, or help with the clean up.
The Parish Outreach Center is located off campus at the Geneseo United Methodist Church, 4520 Genesee St. (Route 63) Geneseo, NY, 14454. Volunteer shifts will take place from 9 am-noon on Mondays through Thursdays. If you are interested in volunteering please email geneseopoc@gmail.com for further instruction.

LIVES Program
The LIVES program offers opportunities for adult students with disabilities to come to campus on a daily basis to receive a college experience and education. Students are taught numerous life and social skills through academic classes. Every Friday, the LIVES program has an event called “Friday Festivities” from 1 - 2:15 p.m., with hopes to get involved with campus groups and organizations.
If you are a part of a campus group that would be interested in “Friday Festivities,” you can sign up through the Friday Volunteer Club Activities Form where you will be asked to put the time of the event, the club members that will be attending, and the activity planned.

Fallbrook Farms
A family farm just a mile and a half down route 63, Fallbrook seeks to bring individuals together to enjoy the beauty of nature and draw on its restorative power. "We believe in transparent, regenerative practices from seed to sip. Each of our formulas are developed by a board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist to ensure their efficacy. We enjoy, knowing that every one of our products is from the earth and us, with love."
Volunteers would help partake in activities such as helping drill mushroom logs, trail clearing, stable clean-up, creating seed trays in the hoop, and more.

Volunteering Solutions (VolSol)
Volunteering Solutions is an international volunteering organization, which has more than 250 volunteer and internship programs in over 25 destinations across the world. From Childcare Volunteering, Teaching English to Women Empowerment, Medical & Healthcare projects to Wildlife Conservation, VolSol offers a plethora of volunteering and international internship opportunities for students and adults. The aim is to make a larger impact on society, with the invaluable contribution & cooperation of the volunteers.

Urban Fellows Program
Rochester Urban Fellows is a summer program that engages local undergraduates with community organizations, faculty- and community-led urban issue dialogues, and community events.The program fosters the College’s eight competencies—adaptability and resiliency; career design and management; critical thinking and problem solving; intercultural and global fluency; leadership; communication; and teamwork—while cultivating a greater understanding and appreciation of our Rochester home.

Hunger To Hope
Hunger To Hope is an organization that ships highly nutritious, life-saving meals to starving and malnourished children in developing countries and in disaster situations, as well as feeding hungry children in the United States. The Hunger To Hope organization seeks to end the literal hunger of deprived children who receive the food, and to satisfy a hunger we all feel - a hunger to make a difference.
