Meet our 2020-2021 Community Service Assistants!

The CSAs are students who serve as interns (for credit or as volunteers) with the Office of Student Volunteerism and Community Engagement to support the many efforts and initiatives of the office. There are 6 programs that currently have associated CSAs, and each carries their own set of responsibilities. The CSAs work independently and collaboratively with their CSA peers and the staff of the Center for Community to contribute positively to the programs and events of the office.

Feel free to come and talk to any one of our Student Community Service Assistants in-room CU 353A! If you have any questions about volunteering or coordinating a service project as an individual or organization, stop on by or shoot us an email at vc@geneseo.edu and we will be more than happy to help you!

Office Hours for CSA's are available upon appointment via email request!

We will begin taking applications to fill CSA positions for 2021-2022 in the Spring of 2021. For more information about each of these positions and the application process, proceed to the bottom of the page.

Sydney Bosworth

America Reads and Counts Co-Coordinator

"It is a wonderful program in which college students are matched with elementary students to tutor them. Not only do college students get the opportunity to work hands-on with children, but many kids benefit from the 1-on-1 interaction and get to make a connection. Connections like these can help kids find a passion for learning, and 1 person can have a huge impact on a child. My goal is to find the right fit for tutors and ensure the program runs smoothly."
