How to Register to Vote?

Registered to Vote in Geneseo?

  • For off-campus students registered to vote in Geneseo, here are the two physical poll sites are:
    • For voters in Precinct 1 at St. Mary's Parish Center (13 North St
    • For voters in Precinct 3 at United Methodist Church (4520 St Rt 63)
  • For on-campus students registered to vote in Geneseo, you belong to Precinct 5 and will vote at MacVittie College Union Ballroom.
  • If you are registered elsewhere or are unsure of which off-campus polling site applies to you, use this link to find your polling place. 

Voting by Absentee Ballot?

  • The Geneseo Student Association will pay to mail your absentee ballot.

  • For more information about the Geneseo Student Association (SA) absentee ballot mailing program, please visit the SA Ticket Office located on the 1st floor of the MacVittie College Union.

Town Council Candidates

Two candidates are running for a Geneseo Town Council position. Only one candidate will be elected to this position to fill an unexpired term. 

Democratic Candidate

Amber Hainey

Quick Facts on Ms. Hainey:
  • A lifelong resident of Livingston County.
  • Proud daughter, sister, and aunt. My family means everything to Amber.
  • A graduate of SUNY Brockport holding undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science, and a Master's degree in Public Administration. 
  • Employed as a caseworker at the Livingston County Department Department of Social Service since 2005.
  • Pro-choice and have been endorsed by Eleanor's legacy.

Gary Mix

Quick Facts on Mr. Mix:
  • Family in Geneseo since early 1900's. Current a resident of Geneseo Village with his wife Heidi and three labrador retrievers. 
  • Proud graduate of Geneseo Central School.
  • 40 years in public education, 30 years as an administrator.
  • Past Regional Director for the New York State Rural Schools Association.
  • Currently serving on the Geneseo Town Board.
