Research Interests

Gregg Hartvigsen

Students and I are working together to test how the structure of ecological systems influences their function. We're currently investigating the genetic relatedness of individuals within a food-web model and how this network of interacting individuals changes over time. In other models we are investigating the conditions that lead to global cooperation and testing the efficacy of various vaccine strategies on slowing the spread of influenza in small-world networks. I also mentor students who do plant ecology projects in our college's Arboretum and Research Reserve. Please check out the site for student research projects that are being and have been completed in my lab.
