Dear Friends,

We are thrilled to announce the 2016-2017 Limelight and Accents Series for the upcoming academic year. This year we decided to sculpt a truly international series. Each of our five shows is a snapshot of a different culture portrayed through vibrant and inspiring music and dance. Our series has something to offer everyone, and we could not be more excited to share these five amazing performances with you.

Celtic Fire will kickoff our season with lively songs, stories, tunes and dance, from the heart of the Emerald Isle, arranged by Michael Londra, one of Ireland's leading tenors. Next, Capulli will bring the best of Mexican dance, music, and culture to the stage with a special Dia de los Muertos themed program. To begin our spring semester, we are delighted to present The Filharmonic, a Filipino American a capella group that is sure to impress with their natural talent. The dance company Lily Cai will grace our stage next, blending Chinese traditional, folk, and classical dance with Western ballet and modern dance to create compelling, contemporary choreography. Finally, to end our series, we are incredibly excited to host Mystic India, a Bollywood dance spectacular that has been seen by over half a million audience members worldwide.

We look forward to sharing this season of extraordinary entertainment with you, and maintaining the excellent tradition of bringing culture and performing arts to SUNY Geneseo.

Enjoy and thank you for your continued support.
