Tutors will prioritize in-person clients. If, by some chance, there are no in-person clients, tutors will check the Discord PLC server to see whether there are online clients waiting for help there. There is no guarantee that tutors will be able to provide service to online clients.

Here are some basic instructions for using the PLC server through Discord:

PLC clients (and of course tutors) must create a free Discord
account. Here is the link to connect to the PLC server:
If you don't already have a Discord account, this link will also
help you make one before taking you to the PLC space.

Once you are logged in, click on this icon near the upper left corner
of Discord in your browser to start your session. Tutors who are
logged in will see your messages in the large center window.

Or, type in this link (uHjW22K) to go direct to the PLC server:

This is a green circle with the words "Learnign Center" on it.

If you want the tutors to be able to hear you (instead of just seeing your text and images), you will need to install an app instead of just running Discord in your browser. You can get it here, but you'll also see a link like this when you're in Discord:

Once you're in Discord, click on these words
(near the upper left corner) and then start talking!
Speech is preferred over text to get the →
attention of a tutor. →

If something's not working, see whether your speakers
and/or microphone are disabled (bottom left).
Here, I've accidentally turned off my microphone,
so I can hear others, but they can't hear me.
Of course, your personal icon will look different than mine!
Also, when you're done, you should "hang up" by clicking
on the picture of the phone with an "x" near it.
