Ysaye Maria Barnwell attended SUNY Geneseo from 1963 to 1968, receiving a B.S. in 1967 and an M.S. in 1968. She is a gifted musician who has for 25 years performed with the grammy-award winning a cappella ensemble "Sweet Honey in the Rock."
