This is a small selection of etchings
done in 1989 - 90
as an MFA Presidential Research Fellow
at the University of Buffalo,
with a double-focus on
painting and printmaking.
During these two intensive years
working under Harvey Breverman
I explored intaglio in depth,
seduced by the process,
qualities of metal, acid, ink and tools -
and of course,
by the deep, compelling blacks!
