Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Academic Affairs Committee

The Academic Affairs committee meets every week via zoom at 7:30 on Tuesday and is geared toward helping academic clubs put on events. Each academic department has a rep that they send to the meeting to give updates and vote on club proposals. Members are selected by the E-board via, an application interested students admit. We also hold a couple of events that are at the discretion of the e-board, and are generally open to the public.

Pursuing Rewards In the Study of Mathematics

PRISM is a math club. We hold math events that create a fun environment for people who enjoy math to express that joy. We create connections through various events with professors where students are able to ask questions and build relationships with their professors outside of the classroom. We aim to create an enriching experience to all SUNY Geneseo students who enjoy math while promoting mathematics as not only a valuable subject but a fun one as well.

We also perform at various events on campus such as Relay for Life. We are well networked with other campus organizations and are a close knit group that have formed an unbreakable bond. Routines are choreographed by the team captains and the team is advised by Jody DeLoria, an adjunct professor in the dance department. We hold auditions every fall semester.

We are an organization that aims to allow all students, regardless of experience, to learn and practice karate in a fun, inclusive, and low-pressure environment. We structure our meetings to allow each student to work to their own level of intensity so that everybody can have a valuable experience no matter their martial arts background. In club, we teach many different facets of karate, including technique, kata, sparring, breaking, and self-defense. We draw from a variety of karate styles to help establish a broad base of knowledge, and we welcome students from every style of martial arts, not just karate.
