Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures. 

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Club Softball

The purpose of this organization is to create a group that students of all skill levels can join to participate in a competitive softball environment. This will enrich the learning experience by creating a community where students with similar interests can come together and share their passion.

Karate Club

Karate club teaches a variety of martial arts and self-defense techniques to students of all ages and backgrounds. Workouts normally occur twice a week, and we usually hold self-defense classes several times a semester. Clubs and Greek organizations are welcome and encouraged to contact us and ask to do self-defense workshops with us. All registered students may be members of the club. Karate Club consists of both seasoned practitioners of martial arts, as well as beginners. The overall goal of Karate Club is to instruct students in self-defense, as well as improve the physical and spiritual well-being of its members.

Crew Club at Geneseo

The purpose of the Geneseo Crew Club is to provide undergraduate matriculated SUNY Geneseo students the opportunity to actively compete at the collegiate and club levels in the sport of rowing.

Women's Rugby Club at Geneseo

We have a focus on teamwork on the field and off the field. Women’s Rugby Club at Geneseo does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, or sexual orientation.

Ultimate Frisbee Team

The Men's and Women's Ultimate Frisbee team allows anyone who is interested in ultimate to give it a try. There are no cuts, so everyone is welcome to attend practices. In the fall, we hold practices Monday, Wednesday and Fridays on Letch Field.

Badminton Club

Meetings occur on Fridays and Saturday nights(time is TBD) and we play badminton matches.

Figure Skating Club at Geneseo

Purposes of the club are to encourage the instruction, practice, and advancement of the members in moves in the field, freestyle skating, ice dancing, and all types of figure skating; to encourage and cultivate a spirit of unity among ice skaters; to sponsor, to produce, or cooperate in the production of ice shows, as well as support each other at competitions; and to carry out the general policies of the United States Figure Skating Association.

Geneseo Ski and Snowboard Club

We provide a trip to a mountain larger than those available closer to Geneseo. This provides students with the opportunity to ski at a new place while not requiring any outside commitment like a team would.

Women's Ice Hockey Club at Geneseo

Geneseo's Woman's Ice Hockey Team consists of previously experienced ice hockey athletes along with new members who are committed to learning the techniques of this sport. The purpose of this team is to encourage all participants to improving their skills of ice hockey and to create a safe but fun environment. The team practices twice a week and competes in 12 to 14 games per season.

Men's Club Volleyball

The purpose of this club is to learn, teach and play volleyball in an organized matter. In addition, it will also participate in tournaments at other nearby colleges.
