Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!
With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.
A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.
Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.
Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

We are a co-ed dance team who dances competitively all around Geneseo campus, as well as other off campus events. This style of dance originated in the Punjab region of India, and has been danced competitively. It is a high energy and joyful form of dance.
Women's Club Volleyball
The club is open to any skill level as we distinguish 3 separate teams to let members participate as much as possible.
Geneseo Marketing Club
The Marketing Club at Geneseo is committed to empowering students to build successful careers in marketing by providing them with projects, agency visits, networking opportunities, and presentations from marketing professionals. In the Fall of 2019, we became an official American Marketing Association (AMA) Chapter. As an AMA chapter, we can participate in more events including conferences and case competitions.
Esports at SUNY Geneseo
The purpose of the Esports Club is to promote the interest of students who wish to partake in video game competitions at the collegiate level. This organization also serves the interests of students who wish to participate in the esports industry (managers, tech support, casters, graphics designers, etc).
The Women’s Club Lacrosse Team at Geneseo seeks to establish a club lacrosse team that is open to both experienced and beginning players who are looking for a competitive lacrosse experience that is flexible around a student’s schedule but still offers the opportunity for respectful competition and healthy camaraderie. It is our hope that by playing lacrosse with our team, those students will be able to interact with others in a setting that teaches more about themselves and gives insights into new positive attributes that a team setting could help offer.
Rock Climbing Club
Rock Climbing Club seeks to create a community of interested climbers through the pursuit of furthering their knowledge and applying their skills in practice. We hope to connect with other college students who share a similar passion for climbing by competing in local climbing competitions. The group is open to new and experienced athletes and places an emphasis on being inclusive and accessible to everyone who wants to climb.
Mock Trial at Geneseo
Mock Trial is a competitive Advocacy Club. Each year, we build two teams who compete against other colleges and travel to universities around the US with a fictional civil or criminal court case. As a club, we hone our public speaking and acting skills and emphasize learning legal theory, case law, and rules of evidence. Members of our club come from a range of majors, and our activities provide an excellent building block towards a law school education, but many of our members intend to pursue alternate careers.
Geneseo Club Cheerleading
Most recently the Geneseo Cheerleading Team has competed as small advanced all girl, however in the past we have competed small advanced co-ed,. Mandatory practices are held two to three times a week throughout the season, along with attending games both semesters and competitions during the spring semester. The titles that the SUNY Geneseo Cheerleading Team has held include: 1st Place Epic Tour at Albany in 2019, 1st Place and Grand Champions of Platinum Nationals in 2019, and numerous first place victories in prior years.
SUNY Geneseo Model UN Club
The Model UN club holds weekly meetings which generally consist of at least one exercise meant to simulate our conferences in some way. Our conferences in a normal year would be at several colleges around the Northeast and one in Montreal, where each member of the team who comes participates in a separate UN committee simulation. The purpose of these is two debate the topic of that UN assembly meeting and over the course of the weekend, draft and debate UN style resolutions.
