Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Sapphire Winter Guard at Geneseo

The purpose of this organization is to provide an environment where students can learn flag spinning, rifle spinning, and basic dance techniques, no matter their level of experience. The ultimate goal of the organization is to represent Geneseo in competition in the North East Color Guard Circuit. The organization will also be available for special performance at sporting events and other campus activities to show school spirit and support.

Circle K International

Our mission is to better the world and to foster a community of leaders who will continue to make a positive impact on the world throughout their lifetime. We participate in a variety of events such as the annual Kiwanis Caregiver Luncheon to thank caregivers in the area, the annual Amy's Walk and Theresa Walk, and the Kiwanis Halloween Parade on Main Street in Geneseo. We also have assisted in the maintenance of Oakwood Cemetery, collected donations for Comfort Cases, ran Bingo at a local Senior Living Center, participated in Adopt a Highway, and much more. We are always looking for new ways to get involved in the community and make the most of our free time.

Creative Writing Club at Geneseo

A club dedicated to having fun through creative writing. Each week, a club member submits a piece of any genre and style through the club email list. At the next meeting, members discuss their thoughts and give criticism. Writing games of various sorts typically follow, including a circle story passed around throughout the meeting.

Le Cercle Francais

The purpose of Le Circle Francais is to better people's understanding of how our world is connected in more ways than we know. By giving people the tools to communicate with people from different countries, we can become a more successful world.

Geneseo Circus Club

Circus Club is a group of circus enthusiasts, flow artists, and jugglers, working together to learn, teach, and appreciate our circus-adjacent talents. Circus Club is open to all people of all skill levels, and any person with interest is welcome to lead tutorials for a prop. We aspire to give our fellow students opportunities to pick up new hobbies and find inspiration, and to introduce them to the wider, regional and national communities of jugglers and flow artists.
