Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Knightline Dance Team

Knightline's purpose is to entertain and perform at sporting events as well as to provide a welcoming, positive, and safe environment to our team members in order to build strong relationships and to grow together as a team. Along with performances, we perform at other organizations benefits and Relay for Life, host a Relay for Life benefit to help raise money for the American Cancer Society, and participate in/ host our own fundraisers. Routines are choreographed by team captains, and the team is advised by Jody Deloria, an adjunct professor in the dance department here at Geneseo. Knightline also holds many opportunities for building communication and leadership skills. We hold tryouts every fall.

Inter-Greek Council

The Inter Greek Council is the umbrella organization that oversees the functioning and regulation of all recognized Greek organizations at SUNY Geneseo. According to our constitution "The vision of the Inter Greek Council of the State University of New York College at Geneseo is to celebrate life-long fraternal and sororal bonds while continuing to grow through academics, campus involvement, community service, leadership and social engagements; while further recognizing the responsibility of each member and member organization to serve as role models and promote these opportunities to the College community to further its development.” IGC has weekly meeting to update the Greek community on volunteer events, recruitment, large Geneseo events, ect. We support leadership and help develop it through conventions. Large events include fall and spring recruitment, Anna's Ball, Relay for life, anti-hazing workshops, guest speakers.

Women's Club Volleyball

The purpose of this organization is to create a team of athletes interested in playing volleyball above the intramural level. Our club is split into three groups depending on skill and commitment. Groups have 1-2 practices a week and tournament team travels to about 4 tournaments a semester. We also participate in community service events including events that we host and others such as Relay for Life. In addition to playing volleyball we try to have a few team bonding events each semester for members to get to know each other better and build relationships outside of the sport.

Original Xpression

The OGX Dance Team’s purpose is to extend our love for dance to the Geneseo campus and community. Our intentions are to welcome students who don’t exactly fit in with modern and contemporary movements. We feel that the OGX Dance Team will offer another style of dance that will allow students not only from the urban areas of New York but including students of every culture to appreciate dance. The OGX Dance Team would like to perform at events hosted by Geneseo clubs such as talent shows, cultural dinners, Relay For Life, Geneseo Great Day. We host our own events and workshops throughout the school year. We partake in WOW and GLK programming. We also host a Spring Dance Showcase in which we portray our talents and host other Culture clubs or outside teams. We like to host activities in which we promote being active and traveling to nearby to spread our love for urban and cultural dancing.
