Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Programming and Data Science Club

This organization wishes to foster an interest in programming and data science in students who do not currently have skills in these fields. The organization will do this by hosting events that are open to the community, in which club members and any interested Geneseo faculty or staff will give short presentations on interesting aspects of and problems in programming and data science.

Political Affairs Club

PAC is the political science department's resident academic club. We hold and conduct peer advisement, run events such as trivia tournaments and DC networking trips, and meet weekly to discuss current US, international, and political news. We hope to help political science students and the Geneseo student body as a whole remain aware and informed of the goings-on in the world around them.

Biochemistry Club

To promote unity amongst biochemistry students and to further enrich our passion for biochemistry and science as a whole. The club will plan events and trips for members to attend, discuss lectures that may be attended, and will hold fundraisers and recruitment drives to promote these events. Biochemistry Club will reach out to the community to further awareness and interest in the field of biochemistry.

Actuarial Science Club

The club has also directed trips to help students better understand the actuarial profession. In the past, these trips included a visit to Excellus BlueCross BlueShield in Rochester and to the ASNY Career Fair in New York City. This year we are organizing a recruiting event for Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield in order for students to network and get a jump on the internship search.

Biology Club

Our mission as a club shall be to give all students interested in biology and related sciences an opportunity to increase their knowledge and enjoyment of these subjects, and to promote a greater appreciation of these subjects within the college community.
