Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

We joined the inter-Greek council in 2013. Our main philanthropy is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and we host the Turkey Trot and Out of the Darkness walk in Geneseo annually.

Alpha Sigma Tau

AST's mission is to invest in women by instilling the skills necessary to navigate life, and inspire members to enrich their own lives and the lives of others. National sorority that recruits women in the spring semester to join our sisterhood. We participate in multiple community service events, have weekly meetings with all active members (currently 87), hold sister bonding events, and provide leadership opportunities.

Delta Phi Epsilon

Our philanthropies include, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, ANAD (Anorexia nervosa and associated disorders), the DPhiE Educational Foundation, and the American Cancer Society. We participate in various community service events throughout the year, and as a social sorority, value all other Greek and Student run organizations. We maintain a standard of excellence in regards to scholarship, sisterhood, and membership development.

Sigma Gamma Phi

Founded in 1892, Sigma Gamma Phi, also known as SGPhi, is Geneseo's third oldest sorority on campus. We are a local organization with three other chapters at Fredonia, Oneonta, and Potsdam. Once a year we get together with our chapters, swap traditions, and have a great time meeting other sisters! In Geneseo we are involved in many philanthropic activities and charities. We pride ourselves on our commitment to bettering our community through service projects. Sigma Gamma Phi is also not your typical sorority - and we pride ourselves on that! Forming great friendships and long-lasting bonds with each other are at the forefront of our organization. This, in turn with our strong alumnae support, allow us to form a network of passionate and focused women all over the country. We are all different and unique individuals who contribute to make Sigma Gamma Phi one of the best organizations around!

Alpha Omega Pi

AOPi is a local sorority that was founded in 1985. We are an extremely tight-knit group that is very unique in our own ways. Each sister makes their own mark in AOPi as we are always trying to better ourselves as sisters. AOPi is a place of leadership and encourages girls to get involved and share their passions with the rest of the sorority through those positions of leadership. While we do have an annual philanthropic event, “Making Strides”, a breast cancer awareness walk in Rochester, we are always listening to our sister’s ideas about different organizations to support. We pride ourselves on our ability to lend a helping hand to any sister in need or to any charity our sisters are passionate about. We are located at 7 University and have one of the coolest houses on campus.

Alpha Kappa Phi

Alpha Kappa Phi was established in 1885 as the Alpha Chapter of the Agonian Sorority. We strive to uphold our core values through sisterhood, create life-long friendships, and prioritize scholarship. One of our mission statements reads "One step at a time, but always forward", we implement this by always encouraging sisters to be the best version of themselves. Our purpose shall also be to fundraise for charities we deem necessary to strengthen our relationships within the community. Our main charity event is our annual haunted house that occurs in October. All proceeds are donated to Bivona Child Advocacy Center located in Rochester, New York. We use our sorority house to transform it into walk-though haunted house and welcome the Geneseo community to attend our event.
