Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Mock Trial Club

The purpose of the Mock Trial team will not only be to provide practice for those students interested in pursuing careers in the legal field, but also to improve the public speaking and analytical skills of any Geneseo student interested therein, in a social environment. We compete in local and regional competitions run by the American Mock Trial Association.

Accounting Society

Accounting Society has helped host the NYC trip for the past 12 years. We also help organize the meet the accountants night and the accounting banquet. This year we are having regular meetings on Tuesday nights to help accounting (and other school of business students) to connect with upperclassman to help navigate through recruiting season and various other skills. The main events we host are primarily focused on networking with persons already in the workforce to help give students an idea of which business sphere to pursue and gain contacts that might aid in a future job search.

The organization will do this by hosting events that are open to the community, in which club members and any interested Geneseo faculty or staff will give short presentations on interesting aspects of and problems in programming and data science.

Knightline Dance Team

Knightline's purpose is to entertain and perform at sporting events as well as to provide a welcoming, positive, and safe environment to our team members in order to build strong relationships and to grow together as a team. Along with performances, we perform at other organizations benefits and Relay for Life, host a Relay for Life benefit to help raise money for the American Cancer Society, and participate in/ host our own fundraisers. Routines are choreographed by team captains, and the team is advised by Jody Deloria, an adjunct professor in the dance department here at Geneseo. Shakti: South Asian Student Association

We want to spread South Asian culture to the students at SUNY Geneseo, and make them more aware of the countries, culture, customs, problems, and people of South Asia. At our weekly General Meetings we talk about festivals, diversity, political events, games, and such that take place in the countries of South Asia. Our members consist not only of students from South Asian countries, but also students who want to know more about the region, and want to be involved in our events. \n\nOur biggest events of the year include the Diwali Dinner that celebrates the Hindu festival of Diwali, ACE's Intercultural Dinner, and our dinner and show, Sangamam. At Sangamam, we celebrate South Asian culture through a traditional dinner and—staying true to Bollywood—a skit that includes many dance performances. Sangamam is a wonderful evening of color, music, dance, and festivities. \n\nShakti is part of the SUNY Geneseo Alliance for Community Enrichment (ACE) and is funded by the Student Association (SA).

English Immersion Group

EIG hosts weekly meetings that initiate cross-cultural discussion and provide opportunities for English Language Learners to practice speaking skills. Through presentations, games, and group discussions members exchange ideas and learn about American society and culture as well as other cultures. When possible, collaborative events with other cultural clubs and/or larger events hosted by the club are meant to increase connections within the group and with the larger camus community.
