Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Alpha Delta Epsilon

ADE's mission statement is "The objective of this sorority is to promote intellectual, moral, and social improvements, to bind closer in their work, the students of the State University College at Geneseo, New York." ADE was one of the first organizations in the country to become gender inclusive. This means that we accept those who identify as women, transgender men, and non-binary individuals. In addition to who we accept, we also refer to ourselves as siblings rather than sisters. As a gender inclusive organization, we feel that we have become open to accepting all individuals who may want to find their home within greek life. The siblings also participate in traditional greek life, ranging from our philanthropic ventures to siblinghood events.

Arethusa Sorority (Sigma Gamma Phi)

We, as a sisterhood, hold friendship above anything else. Our goal is to honor one another's loyalty, dignity and unity.

Alpha Omega Pi

Our organization was founded in 1985 as a place for female-identifying people to build life-long friendships, create networking opportunities, strive for the betterment our community and establish a home in the small town of Geneseo, NY. \n\nAs members of the Greek community, we are actively involved in charity work which enable leadership opportinities and foster academic success. Upon entering the career-world, our commitment to sisterhood and friendship empowers sisters to graduate Geneseo as determined, capable, intelligent, and well-rounded women ready to conquer the world. \n\nFurthermore, through academic partners & alumni connections sisters are able to deepen their understanding in a diverse field of interests. Our alumni network help carve pathways and provide career opportunities for all members, whether they be active sisters or long-time alumnus themselves. Likewise, our involvements in philanthropy such as fundraising events for Give Kids the the World, the annual Breast Cancer Awareness walk in Rochester, high school scholarships and so forth promote a positive association with our community. These engagements also teach our sisters the importance of giving back and community outreach while also allowing a sense of autonomy when choosing charities. \n\nLastly, AOPi strives to be a diverse community of female-identifying people that are accepting and inclusive of people of all race, gender, sexual orientation, economic background, abilities, etc. \n\nOverall, AOPi is a dedicated group of self-determined women that aspire to cultivate a positive and progressive community within this sorority, this school, and the world.
