Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures. 

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Phi Lambda Chi

Maintain individuality while working together. Promote harmony among all of the fraternal groups. Promote fellowship, scholarship and cooperation within the school. Promote citizenship on the campus and in the community. Promote sincerity and loyalty toward our sisters and our school. Uphold our Constitution and that of the Inter-Greek Council.

Sigma Kappa

The purpose of Sigma Kappa Sorority is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual, and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities. The values of Sigma Kappa are personal growth, friendship, service, and loyalty; bound by a promise.

Sigma Delta Tau

Sigma Delta Tau was founded in 1917 at Cornell University by a group of seven Jewish women. The women founded the organization due to the religious discrimination that they were facing by many other greek organizations. Sigma Delta Tau is an organization that strives to empower women through our values of individuality, connection, community and engagement.

Phi Kappa Pi

Clio was founded in 1872 and is Geneseo's oldest sorority. Our colors are gold and white and our flower is the beautiful daisy. As a tight-knit a loyal organization, we uphold our long-standing traditions with pride. Clios are more than sorority sisters. We're a family of best friends celebrating, doing charity, and sharing a bond that exists beyond the college years.

Sisters Making A Change

Sisters Making A Change is a local service and social sorority that was established in 2004. We pride ourselves on our values of service, scholarship, loyalty, unity, and wellness. We joined the inter-Greek council in 2013. Our main philanthropy is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and we host the Turkey Trot and Out of the Darkness walk in Geneseo annually.

Alpha Sigma Tau

AST's mission is to invest in women by instilling the skills necessary to navigate life, and inspire members to enrich their own lives and the lives of others. National sorority that recruits women in the spring semester to join our sisterhood. We participate in multiple community service events, have weekly meetings with all active members (currently 87), hold sister bonding events, and provide leadership opportunities.

Psychology Club at Geneseo

Our committees plan events, get students in touch with volunteer opportunities, update the website, provide tutoring, and run social media.

Inter-Greek Council

The vision of the Inter Greek Council of the State University of New York College at Geneseo is to celebrate life-long fraternal and sororal bonds while continuing to grow through academics, campus involvement, community service, leadership and social engagements; while further recognizing the responsibility of each member and member organization to serve as role models and promote these opportunities to the College community to further its development

Delta Phi Epsilon

Our motto is Esse Quam Videri, Latin for "to be, rather than to seem to be". Our philanthropies include, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, ANAD (Anorexia nervosa and associated disorders), the DPhiE Educational Foundation, and the American Cancer Society. We participate in various community service events throughout the year, and as a social sorority, value all other Greek and Student run organizations. We maintain a standard of excellence in regards to scholarship, sisterhood, and membership development.

Alpha Delta Epsilon

Alpha Delta Epsilon is one of the oldest sororities on campus, being founded in 1901. It is a local gender-inclusive sorority that is open to all of those who identify as non-men. The sorority's mission is to intellectual, moral, and social improvements, and to bind closer in their work. ADE participates in philanthropy and other community events work fraternal organizations as well as other clubs on campus.
