Please Read Test Instructions Carefully

  1. The Test Portal is optimized for use with Google Chrome; install & use Chrome otherwise the test may not be rendered properly by your browser.
  2. If you are NOT in a programming course:
    1. Write answers on a separate sheet of paper; use as many sheets as necessary.
    2. Do not use grid paper. Regular lined paper is okay, blank printing paper is preferred.
    3. Because you will be scanning your paper, write with a pen or a pencil with dark lead. It is to your advantage to be neat.
    4. Recommended scanning apps: for iPhones use Evernote Scannable and for Android phones use CamScanner. The Notes app on iPhones has a good scanning feature.
    5. Only write on one side of a sheet of paper; if you write on both sides you might forget to scan one side!
  3. If you are in a programming course then write your code in the approved software.
  4. Clearly indicate the number of the problem you are solving.
  5. Show all your work and provide justification for your answer. Correct answers without any evidence of how the answer was obtained receive no credit.
  6. You should have only paper and pen/pencil during the test. Do not use any resource of any kind to solve any of the problems. Examples of resources that you cannot use during the test are:
    • Another person, either remotely or in the same room.
    • Websites, calculator, or numerical software.
    • Notes or a textbook.
  7. A countdown timer will display how much time remains. After time has expired, you have no more than 5 minutes to scan and upload your file. Tests not received within 5 minutes will not be accepted.
  8. A link will appear where you can upload your file. Your file must be named as follows (replace .pdf with appropriate file extension):

    lastname_firstname_XYZ_test#.pdf

where XYZ is the course number and "#" is the number of the test, e.g. smith_john_222_test2.pdf
  9. Files not named as above will not be returned to you.
  10. And finally, GOOD LUCK!
