Ideal: Outside evidence—is it used to support author’s argument, is argument supported by it at all, is it accurately described, etc. How could it be used better? Where are there holes? Are there places with more evidence than they need?

Reality(?): suggestions for coping with unavailability of desired sources, suggested substitutes, etc.
