EVENTS

These are some of JCC's events held in the past years...
(Please also look at the pictures page to see the photos from these events!)

*Japan Knight*

Our biggest event on campus. We hold a dinner show in the Union Ballroom for about 250 people. There is a lot of Japanese food cooked by our members! After the dinner, we have about an hour or so of performances like traditional Japanese dance, J-pop songs, martial arts, etc.

*Sakura Matsuri Volunteer Trip*

In April, JCC members go to Washington, D.C. to help out the Cherry Blossom Street Festival which is part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. 2007 was the first year we went down as a group to help the festival organizers and take surveys for them. There were many performances to be enjoyed and tons of Japanese food that were delicious. JCC members also toured around D.C.

*Corner Pocket Olympics*

Every year, JCC holds an olympic of pool, ping pong, Japanese games, etc in the Corner Pocket during Late Knight. Many members as well as students come to partake in this event!

*Watermelon Crushing*

This staple summer event of Japan is held in Geneseo every year by JCC! We gather our members and other students to crush watermelons and enjoy good old rice balls and miso-soup!

*Knight Spot Karaoke*

JCC held a Karaoke night in the Night Spot for Late Knight! We are planning to hold this event in the future so come and sing your heart out and impress the crowd!
