Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!
With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.
A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.
Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.
Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Ghostlight ProductionsWe, the members of Ghostlight Productions (formerly known as Cothurnus), desire an exploration of theatre through a diversified selection of productions of the highest caliber, and to instill a desire for artistic achievement and appreciation in all students.

Pride AlliancePride Alliance is an on-campus group devoted to discussing LGBTQ+ issues, promoting activism in the queer community, and maintaining a safe space in which all students can thrive. Pride provides a relaxed and safe environment for anyone to share and learn about issues related to gender and sexual minorities in today's world. With the help of its members, Pride plans several Late Knight events such as Second Chance Prom and Drag Ball. We also offer many other on campus events such as the "LGBT? Fine By Me" panel discussion, speakers for National Coming Out Day along with Pride Night, which is an event to celebrate both the club and the cultures it promotes. Ultimately, our goal is to make the campus a better and more informed environment so all students can call Geneseo their home.

Korean American Student AssociationThe Korean American Student Association is a cultural club that is dedicated to educating and uniting those on campus who share an interest in Korean culture. We hold two annual events, one per semester, to help share Korean culture in an engaging and unique way. Our fall event is Running Man, which shares a name with and takes inspiration from a Korean variety show. Participants work in teams to complete mini games and gain the most points out of all teams playing. In the spring, KASA hosts K-Night, our cultural dinner. It is the biggest event of the year for us, complete with dinner, dances, skits, and a fashion show that is all written and performed by KASA members.

Pre-Dental ClubOur club is designed to create a community for students who are looking to pursue a career in dentistry. We advise students and help give information on classes, standardized tests, the application process, interviews and more. We meet bi-weekly. We hope to help students as they go through the process of applying to dental schools. We also participate in off-campus events such as workshops at UB Dental School. As stated on the Geneseo website, dentistry is an important career for public health. A career in dentistry focuses on patient health/safety while also emphasizes human empathy and care for others. "Dentists diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth and mouth. They can perform surgical procedures such as implants, tissue grafts, extractions, and can improve the patient's appearance by using a variety of cosmetic dental procedures. Original XpressionsThe OGX Dance Team’s purpose is to extend our love for dance to the Geneseo campus and community. Our intentions are to welcome students who don’t exactly fit in with modern and contemporary movements. We feel that the OGX Dance Team will offer another style of dance that will allow students not only from the urban areas of New York but including students of every culture to appreciate dance. The OGX Dance Team would like to perform at events hosted by Geneseo clubs such as talent shows, cultural dinners, Relay For Life, Geneseo Great Day. We host our own events and workshops throughout the school year. We partake in WOW and GLK programming. We also host a Spring Dance Showcase in which we portray our talents and host other Culture clubs or outside teams. We like to host activities in which we promote being active and traveling to nearby to spread our love for urban and cultural dancing. The purpose of the organization is consistent with the mission of the College.

Exit 8 AcapellaExit 8 is Geneseo’s first all gender acapella group, performing at Geneseo’s all-acapella concert, invitationals, festivals, the ICCA’s (International Championship of Collegiate Acapella), and more, Exit 8 is focused on bringing people together over their love of music! We rehearse twice a week in preparation for our concerts on Geneseo’s campus as well as the gigs we are invited to throughout the year. Exit 8 performs a wide variety of musical genres and strives to create a welcoming environment for all students!

Circus ClubWe are a collection of students at Geneseo who come together every week to practice our skills. It helps to practice around other people, and sometimes we set aside time to work through a trick as a group. If you've never picked up a hula hoop or a set of juggling balls, no worries- you're still welcome here. Likewise, if you have a vast arsenal of impressive tricks, always feel free to come by. Beginners and experts alike, we have a place for you. Circus Club is a casual club, so if your schedule only allows you to come for half an hour, or maybe one week but not the next, have no fear. We're still happy to see you! Circus Club has a weekly reservation of an indoor location on campus, but if the weather is nice, we try to be on the college green. Sometimes we'll plan ahead of time to meet in Sturges Auditorium, where there's more room to unicycle!

Southside BoysThe purpose of this organization is to provide the students of SUNY Geneseo with the opportunity to use and showcase their vocal talents through a student run a cappella music ensemble, as well as provide to those sharing our interest and passion for vocal skills and performance a safe, inclusive space to come to twice a week. Geneseo’s mission statement reads, "To support the College's educational purpose and goals by publishing, enforcing, drafting, and interpreting community standards. To facilitate student learning opportunities for ethical growth and development through the conduct process. To promote academic integrity and responsible conduct through education and accountability. To work to maintain a safe and orderly campus environment consistent with academic excellence, conducive to learning, and foster respect for others and for the College's mission of teaching, research and service." Southside Boys will fulfill this mission by facilitating a unique opportunity to supplement Geneseo’s rigorous curriculum with rich co-curricular life, enhancing the college community.

Geneseo Club CheerleadingMost recently the Geneseo Cheerleading Team has competed as small advanced all girl, however in the past we have competed small advanced co-ed,. Mandatory practices are held two to three times a week throughout the season, along with attending games both semesters and competitions during the spring semester. The titles that the SUNY Geneseo Cheerleading Team has held include: 1st Place Epic Tour at Albany in 2019, 1st Place and Grand Champions of Platinum Nationals in 2019, and numerous first place victories in prior years.

Knightline Dance TeamKnightline is the official dance team at SUNY Geneseo. We perform fast paced jazz routines that incorporate a kickline at Men's and Women's home basketball, hockey, and soccer games. We also perform at various events on campus such as Relay for Life. We are well networked with other campus organizations and are a close knit group that have formed an unbreakable bond. Routines are choreographed by the team captains and the team is advised by Jody DeLoria, an adjunct professor in the dance department. We hold auditions every fall semester.
