Organization Directory

Welcome to the Student Organization Directory!

With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, there truly is something for everyone at SUNY Geneseo.

A college-registered Student Organization is any student-driven group whose primary membership and entire leadership consists of students enrolled at SUNY Geneseo; is formed in order to contribute to the students' personal development and the advancement of the College Mission; is non-credit bearing; and is officially registered with the Department of Student Life.

Full registration does not imply college endorsement of the positions and views of any organization. Rather, it implies that the institution accepts the organization’s mission as educationally valid and that the organization has complied with institutional registration and continuing registration procedures.

Full registration with the College does not permit the organization to act in the name of the university, to represent the university, engage in any contractual obligation in the name of the university, nor represent the organization as being an official part of the university.

Great Outdoors Club

Great Outdoors Club at Geneseo strives to provide an easy way for students to experience the great outdoors and network with other outdoor enthusiasts. The club aims to inform its members of the outdoor opportunities in Livingston County and the surrounding areas. Members will learn safe ways to experience the wilderness. Members will be challenged both physically and mentally, while developing new skills useful for both daily life and outdoor adventures. GOC will promote awareness and appreciation for the outdoors, and be an advocate for the significance and protection of the wilderness.

Shakti

Shakti, which means strength in Sanskrit, is an organization that strives to represent South Asian students by creating student solidarity. It is an outlet for South Asian students seeking self-discovery as well as a vehicle to enhance the diversity of the campus at large on issues of diversity and multiculturalism with respect to South Asian culture.

SUNY Geneseo Pre-Vet Club

Regarding the aforementioned guidance and education our club strives to provide for its members, this is accomplished in a variety of ways. For instance, at meetings, we may go over what classes our members should be taking each semester to stay on track for graduation, as well as what classes some vet programs require. We also hold meetings that go over vet school applications and the different vet schools/programs. Regarding events, we may visit local barns or have speakers come to our campus.

Geneseo Area Gaming Group

GAGG is Geneseo's gaming club. We play games such as card games, board games, video games, role-playing games (like Dungeons and Dragons) and more! We also host several events throughout the year including Inter-Geek Counsel in the fall and Running GAGG during the spring. Running GAGG is our annual convention that we spend the full year planning for. It runs over a weekend and encourages gamers from around the county, state, and country to come and have fun. Our ultimate goal is to simply remind people that it is ok to still have fun, even while transitioning into the work centric world. We also try to encourage comradery through our club, that way people can make lasting relationships over games.

Delta Phi Epsilon

Delta Phi Epsilon is an international social sorority founded in 1917 on the principles of justice, sisterhood, and love. DPhiE is welcome to all as our international governing board instituted a policy that welcomes transgender and non-binary members and celebrates the diversity of our chapter. Aside from social events, we also participate in fundraising for our philanthropies, participating in community service, and hosting different events with other campus organizations. Our motto is esse quam videri, which means to be rather than to seem to be. Delta Phi Epsilon celebrates the authenticity and uniqueness of each individual in our chapter, and encourages its members to be their true selves. As a sorority, we are committed to using our platform to speak out against injustices that directly and indirectly affect our members and their communities.
