H/Western Humanities I

    A search for moral, social, and political alternatives and meaning embodied in the institutions, culture, and literature of Western Civilization from the beginnings to 1600. The course is factual as w
    ell as conceptual, including a narrative history of the period covered.

LATN 101:
Elementary Latin I

    Introduces the structure and sound of the target language. Develops the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Culture-based readings and collateral laboratory assignments.
    This course is designed for the student who has never studied the language before. In general, students who have a one-year high school equivalency may repeat this course, but for no credit. Offered on a 3-semester rotation
