Governor
Paterson to Conduct Student Town Hall Meeting at SUNY Geneseo
GENESEO,
N.Y. – New York Governor David Paterson will conduct a student town hall
meeting on the SUNY Geneseo campus March 12. The public is invited to the event, which
begins at 11 a.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium, 1 College Circle. Doors will open at 10 a.m.
“These
town hall meetings provide New Yorkers with a forum to share thoughts, ideas
and suggestions on ways we can improve the economic outlook for New York,” said
Governor Paterson. “I look forward to
hearing directly from New York’s residents and students as we work together to
emerge from this crisis and place New York state on the road towards fiscal
recovery.”
The Geneseo event is the governor’s second student town hall
meeting. The first was at Morrisville
State College Feb. 12.
Those
wishing to attend the student town hall meeting are encouraged to RSVP on the
governor’s Web site at www.ny.gov/governor/townhalls. Responding, however, is not a requirement for
admittance. Those wishing to submit
questions or comments may do so at the same address. Seating will be provided on a first-come,
first-served basis.
