I am an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department, and have been the Bio Club Advisor since fall 2009. I teach Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, and also perform research on endothelial development, using C. elegans (soil nematodes) as a model system. As Bio Club Advisor, I give guidance to the officers, and also participate in many of the Bio Club events. Some of my favorites have been rafting in Letchworth State Park and the trip to the Buterfly Conservatory at Niagara Falls. If you love Biology, then Bio Club is for you!

Hi my name is Andriana Farruggia, I am the bio club president. I am at Geneseo this fall finishing up my degree and working on pre-requisites for nursing school in the spring. After I finish at Geneseo I plan on attending an accelerated nursing program, hopefully at UB, and then going on to Nurse Practitioner School. I work at Wegmans in the Bakery, and in my free time I am a volunteer at the Tersea House. I love spending time with my friends, family and my boyfriend. In any spare time that I have left I enjoy traveling and reading.

My name is Matt Cavanaugh, Bice President for the Biology Club. I am a senior Biology major with a minor in Cognitive Science and Psychology. I plan on pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience after college. I currently do research with Dr. McPherson and Dr. Lovett, when I'm not playing Quidditch.

My name is Rachel Curtis and I am a senior Biology major.  I hope to go into the field of conservation someday. I will be assisting the club this year because I live with the president and I was last years treasurer.  I am interning with the Genesee Valley Conservancy this semester and will looking for either a job or a grad school.  I am not sure what I will be doing yet!

I am a senior, biology major.  I transferred to Geneseo as a sophomore.  I am looking to work in a field with children with special needs.  I am on the cheerleading squad and am involved in Geneseo Environmental Organization.  Over the summer, I help children with special needs play sports to improve their recreation skills and communication skills.

My name is Karl Diener and I am one of two AAC representatives for the Biology Club. I’m a junior Biology major and play volleyball with the Geneseo Men’s club team, and I enjoy playing bass in the Thursday night Geneseo jazz ensemble. I hope to attend graduate school for a degree in the medical field and live in another part of the U.S.  after graduation.

I'm a junior biology major, with a minor in psychology. I plan on attending medical school, but I'm keeping my options open. I am very involved in biology, being an active member of the Tribeta Biological Honors Society and the American Red Cross club. I also am a ULA for Freshman Biology and conduct research on Aplysia Californica with Dr. Lovett. This picture is me eating my first piece of steak, which is debatably the happiest moment of my life.
