Caps and Gowns for 2024 Graduates

The vendor that supplies caps and gowns for our graduates (Herff Jones) is able to fulfill orders for SUNY Geneseo graduates.

Graduates can choose to:

1. Purchase regalia kits (cap, gown and tassel) in person available at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore on campus beginning Monday, April 1 and continue through Friday, May 17. Stop into the bookstore during business hours and purchase your commencement gear. The regalia kit is $73.98 plus tax.

2. Purchase your cap and gown online through Herff Jones Cap and Gown (search Geneseo and choose Geneseo State University of NY) and have it shipped to you for a standard shipping and handling fee. Deadline for ordering regalia online for guaranteed delivery by Commencement is April 19, 2024. 

3. Individual Pieces are available for individual purchase (both online and in person), for example if a graduate only wants to purchase a cap ($10), a tassel ($8.) or cap ($8.). that is an option, both online and in the bookstore.

4. Honor Cords will be available through purchase at the bookstore only, as those are only sold to graduates who are officially listed with tentative honors by Graduate Records as of December 2023. Honor cords cost $9. each.

Graduation Announcements

Personalized graduation announcements and other graduation stationery can be ordered online through Herff Jones.

Our representative from Herff Jones will be on campus and available to help you in the Barnes and Noble Bookstore on Thursday April 12 from 10am-3pm. Stop by anytime! 

Campus Bookstore

The Campus Bookstore is still accepting online orders for course material and general merchandise, though shipping times may be longer than normal depending on local conditions.
