Milne Center for Academic Excellence

The Milne Center for Academic Excellence is a one-stop shop for all of your writing and tutoring needs. The center hosts services for the Writing Learning Center, AOP Tutoring, ELL Tutoring and Speech Buddies, International Student & Scholar Services, Research Consultation and the Geneseo Testing Center.

AOP Tutoring

The Milne CAE provides space for pre-scheduled AOP tutoring. If you are interested in obtaining an AOP tutor, please visit the AOP office, located in Blake C 104. Learn more at the AOP tutoring website.

International Student & Scholar Services

The International Student & Scholars Services Office is available to assist current international students in finding academic support. If you are a international student in need of assistance in finding tutorial or other support services please contact Michael Sweeney at sweeney@geneseo.edu or call 585-245-5404 to set up an appointment.

Research Consultation

Milne Reference and Instruction Librarians provide one-on-one research consultations on a drop-in basis at the CAE, and also custom scheduled consultations with a subject specialist librarian. Request an appointment online or contact a librarian. In addition to CAE hours above, librarians are in the building for all hours the library is open and can be called upon for assistance from the Service Desk.

Testing

The Milne Center for Academic Excellence also provides space for testing (by appointment with the Office of Disability Services) from 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday. Students with accommodated testing and faculty who have students making up exams can find information about scheduling an exam on the Test Center's website or by emailing the Test Center at testcenter@geneseo.edu.
