The Office of Multicultural Programs and Services at Geneseo is a component of the Center for Community in the Division of Student and Campus Life.
It is the mission of the Center to foster the development of responsible, productive, and engaged citizens through collaborative efforts within the Geneseo community. The Mission goes on to state that: "Respect, responsibility, and critical thinking are underlying values that set the tone for the advancement of broad leadership, communication, and life skills, and are enhanced through service learning and learning by doing within a diverse society."
Sponsored programs promote diversity awareness and an inclusive, respectful campus community. Specific attention is given to retention efforts of ALANA (African American, Latino, Asian, Native American) students.
Fatima Rodriguez-Johnson is the Coordinator of Multicultural Programs and Services.
The Coordinator serves as the manager of the office and provides leadership and guidance to the campus community on matters related to diversity. The Coordinator also serves as one of many resources for any student who is having difficulty making the adjustment to life on the Geneseo campus.
