Monroe Hall

About Monroe Hall:

Location:  Central Village

Housing Type:  Suites and junior suites in addition to traditional corridor-style double rooms.

Class Years: Accommodates 100 returning students as well as 60 spaces for new first-year students who are in Tesla House. The other spaces are reserved for EcoHouse, which is moving to Putnam Hall in the Fall 2016.

Features:  Reopened in Spring 2013 after 2 years of renovations. In addition to new rooms and suites, each floor has a laundry room and kitchenette, and a computer program even alerts students when a washer is free. This hall has 60 geothermal wells for heating and cooling along with the ability to utilize rain water harvesting, which will be collected and treated for use in supplying water to bathroom urinals and water closets. 

EcoHouse was established in Fall 2010 in Putnam Hall.
