About Monroe Hall:
Location: Central Village
Housing Type: Suites and junior suites in addition to traditional corridor-style double rooms.
Class Years: Accommodates 80 returning students as well as 80 spaces for new first-year students in Physics, Biology, and Writing Living Learning Communities.
Features: Reopened in Spring 2013 after 2 years of renovations. In addition to new rooms and suites, each floor has a laundry room and kitchenette, and a computer program even alerts students when a washer is free. This hall has 60 geothermal wells for heating and cooling along with the ability to utilize rain water harvesting, which will be collected and treated for use in supplying water to bathroom urinals and water closets.
