Residence Life
- The mission of Residence Life is to foster and promote well-being for students who live on campus. Well-being includes the physical safety of students in clean and well-maintained residence halls as well as positive mental, physical, social, spiritual, and academic health.
- Because Geneseo is committed to the education of the whole student, learning takes place both within and outside the classroom. In Residence Life, we guide students as they take responsibility for their own intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development.
- In Geneseo's corridor buildings, suite buildings, and townhouses, residential students learn leadership and community skills, interacting with friends and faculty in relaxed and comfortable settings.
- In our residential college houses, Dante House, Writers House, and EcoHouse, student communities routinely arrange dinners, events, speakers, and activities together. Our campus-wide residential education program schedules opportunities in every hall for residents to pursue topics in health, civic engagement, diversity, the arts, careers, and global studies.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
