Office of the Dean of Students

The staff works directly with students to assist them in adjusting to college life and in resolving problems and conflicts that may arise during their undergraduate career. In addition, the staff works with students to interpret College policies and decisions, mediate conflicts, investigate complaints, and assure full access to all opportunities offered by the College.

In addition to presiding over the campus conduct system and being responsible for community standards, the Dean also coordinates the Center for Community which includes the offices of Fraternal Life and Off Campus Services, Student Volunteerism and Community Engagement, Student Conduct and Community Standards, Leadership (and the GOLD program), Student Employment Services, America Reads/America Counts, and the Pantry at Geneseo.

The Dean of Students' office staff serves as intercessors for Geneseo students experiencing difficulties and assists them in arriving at productive solutions. The office is dedicated to creating and supporting a campus environment that encourages both intellectual and interpersonal growth. Visitors and inquiries are welcome.
