Workforce Development Mission and Vision
The SUNY Geneseo Workforce Development unit creates pathways to upward mobility for our students, our community, and our partners. We provide accessible and responsive professional development and educational opportunities, rooted in our identity as an equity-centered public liberal arts college, to meet the evolving needs of our students, communities, non-profit organizations, government agencies, businesses/industry, and other organizations.
It is our vision to:
- Equip all students with knowledge, technical and durable skills, and the social capital to launch and advance in careers.
- Engage faculty and staff to design and embed high quality career education into all degree programs and other areas of the honors college experience at Geneseo.
- Partner with employers to address industry training needs and talent pipelines in our respective communities.
- Deliver customized, high-quality, and lifelong learning opportunities to a broad range of learners.
