Amendment of 2008

In 2008, an amendment to the 1965 Higher Education Act was passed.  Part of the amendment mandates new disclosure requirements in the area of residential fire safety.  Starting with 2009, the residential fire safety report was included with the Clery crime statistics in a document called Annual Security and Fire Safety Report.  The Office of Environmental Health & Safety maintains a running log for all fires reported in residence halls for the current calendar year.  It is available for public viewing by calling 585-245-5512.

The 2021 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report tallies data from statistics from calendar year 2020.
