SUNY Geneseo has again made several of U.S. News & World Report’s regional ranking lists. The College ranked third in the “Top Public Schools” in the North, retaining the same high rank earned in 2020.

Geneseo also ranked highly, fourth, in the regional "Best Undergraduate Teaching" category. U.S. News selects the “Best Undergraduate Teaching” colleges through data collected from college presidents, provosts, and admissions deans at peer institutions within their region who identified schools where the faculty demonstrated an unusually strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. The College also earned the fifth-place ranking in our region in the “Most Innovative School” category.

Overall, SUNY Geneseo jumped one spot since last year's ranking to earn the 13th slot in the "Best Regional Universities in the North" list, which comprises nearly 200 public and private institutions in the Best Colleges 2021 guidebook.

This year’s U.S. News rankings are available online and will be published in the 2021 edition of the Best Colleges guidebook in October.
