Six Geneseo Alumni Honored With Forty Under 40 Awards

Six Geneseo alumni have been recognized for their professional achievements in Rochester Business Journal’s annual “Forty under 40” list. This recognition underscores their significant contributions in their respective fields and the Rochester community.

“We are tremendously proud of these alumni and their accomplishments,” says Amanda McCarthy, director of alumni relations at the College. “They embody Geneseo’s values with their commitment to excellence in their professions and serving their communities.”

The 2023 honorees:

Sarah Bain-Lucey ’10, ’11 MS is a partner at Deloitte & Touche. She earned her BS in accounting and communication and an MS in accounting from Geneseo. 

Nash Bock '09, BS in music, is chief business and innovation officer at Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity. 

Michaela Gascon '06 is president and CEO of KJT Group. She earned her BS in business administration from Geneseo and an MBA in market research from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Caitlin Loury '07 is chief educational officer at Renaissance Academy Charter School of the Arts. She earned a BS in childhood education, special education, and Spanish from Geneseo, a MEd in curriculum and instruction from the University of Florida, and an EdD in educational leadership from the University of Rochester. 

Lesley Niebel '11 is an associate attorney at Feraci Lang, LLP. She earned a BA in economics and English from Geneseo and a JD from Syracuse University College of Law.

Robert "Bo" Shoemaker '06 is deputy county attorney for Monroe County. He earned a BA in history from Geneseo, an MA in history from Fordham University, a JD from Syracuse University College of Law, and an LLM in criminal law from the University at Buffalo School of Law.
