College-Wide Scholarships Information and Application

Application Deadline: February 1, 2013

Who is eligible?

Returning Geneseo students who will be enrolled as full-time undergraduates (carrying at  least 12 credit hours/semester) in 2013-14.  Current seniors and students enrolled in the Honors Program are not eligible.  Incoming students (freshmen and transfer) are considered for scholarships through admissions and not eligible for these particular scholarships.

How many scholarships are there and what are the amounts?

This application qualifies the applicant for approximately 60 scholarships for the 2013-2014 academic year to assist students in paying tuition and fees.  The awards range from $500 to $2,500.  

What are the criteria?

Applications are evaluated on the following criteria:  academic achievement, student leadership and contribution to college life.  The College Scholarship Committee is responsible for review and assessment.

How to apply:

Step 1: Download the Application (.docx)

Step 2: Review the required Application Criteria

Step 3: Download the Recommendation Form (.docx)  Select an individual to complete recommendation and follow instructions on form.

Step 4: Complete application.  Save as a PDF with the filename as your Last Name_First Name (e.g., Doe_Jane.pdf)

Step 5: Enroll in College-Wide Scholarships on myCourses

Step 6: Submit application as a PDF in myCourses Drop Box no later than February 1, 2013.

When are scholarships announced?

By April 30, 2013, you will receive an e-mail either notifying you of the scholarship and the amount you have received, or that you were not selected.
