Susan Romano, Executive Director of Financial Aid & Enrollment Management, MPA

Susan has had over 28 years of higher education experience. She previously served as director of financial aid at Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) where she was awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Professional Service. Helping students achieve their dreams brings happiness to Susan in her role at Geneseo.

Primary Responsibilities: Office Operations, Satisfactory Academic Progress, Customer Service, Compliance and institutional scholarships.

Amy Masters, Associate Director, MM

Amy has been in higher education for over 14 years. She previously worked as the assistant director of financial aid at Genesee Community College. In 2018, Amy received the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service. Amy enjoys working with students and families, particularly first-generation and at-risk students.

Primary Responsibilities: System Operations, loan programs oversight, Satisfactory Academic Progress, and summer aid administration.

Christopher Jadlos, Assistant Director, MS.Ed

Chris has been working in higher education for 31 years, with over 15 at Geneseo! His favorite part of working in financial aid is helping students work through the process of applying for and managing their aid.

Primary Responsibilities: Pell Grant, Excelsior & State Scholarship, and TEACH Grant program oversight.

Jonathon Heininger, Senior Financial Aid Counselor, MBA

Jon has been working in higher education for over 18 years. As an alumni, Geneseo's campus and the town feel like home. Jon enjoys being part of a staff and with students who are polite, sincere and gracious.... truly Geneseo traits.

Primary Responsibilities: Federal Work Study program oversight, Special Conditions Reviews, Study Abroad liaison, and FAFSA/ISIR reviewer.

Molly Burley '14, Financial Aid Advisor

As an Alumna of SUNY Geneseo, Molly has been working at the college now for almost 5 years. She has been able to work with our students in roles within the Admissions office, Academic Planning & Advising, where she was the Student Support Coordinator, and now the Financial Aid office.

As a first-generation student herself, Molly enjoys collaborating with and making a positive impact on our student body, as well as their families!

Primary responsibilities: Assistance with Excelsior & State Aid programs, New York State Residency Applications for Tuition Purposes, coordinator of Institutional Scholarships, and customer service support.

Samantha Phillips, Secretary I

Samantha has been working at Geneseo for five years and enjoys interacting with students and families.

Primary Responsibilities: Customer Service, SAP Appeal support, Travel coordinator, General Office Administration.

Monique has been working in Financial Aid for 5+ years. She previously worked in Financial Aid/One Stop at SUNY Potsdam.

She loves helping students and families navigate financial aid.

Primary Responsibilities: Customer Service, phones, email, student walk in support.
