Federal
Our office engages with federal agencies and representatives to secure support for campus initiatives. Recent efforts include:
Congressional Directed Spending (CDS) Requests:
- Fall 2021: Emergency Backup Generators – $6.1 million requested.
- Fall 2022: Honors College – $9 million requested.
- Spring 2023: Technology and Security Infrastructure – $500,000 awarded.
State
At the state level, we collaborate with legislators and agencies to advance SUNY Geneseo's mission. Key activities include:
- SUNY Budget Advocacy: Supporting requests for collective bargaining costs, community college investments, and capital projects.
- Empire State Development (ESD) and Office of Strategic Workforce Development (OSWD) Consolidated Funding Applications (CFA): Submitting proposals to secure funding for campus improvements and programs.
Lobbying
