Fulbright English Teaching Assistants

Three of the College's six winners of prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) awards for 2018-19 were majors in the Department of Languages and Literatures.  Sarah Phillips ’18 (Spanish) will teach in Colombia; Matthew McClure ’16 (French) will work in South Korea; Amanda Langan ’18 (Spanish) will serve in Argentina.  Semi-finalist Martin Beach ’14 (French, and M.A. '18, European and Russian Affairs, Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto) was named an alternate for Malta.  Associate Professor of German Dr. Cynthia Klima and Assistant Professor of French Dr. Kathryn Fredericks both serve on Geneseo's National Fellowships and Scholarships committee.
