Master Teacher Program

The State University of New York at Geneseo serves as the Finger Lakes Regional campus for the New York State Master Teacher Program.

The program unites outstanding public K-12 STEM teachers and counselors in a statewide community dedicated to excellence, collaboration, and impact. By broadening expertise in the three knowledge domains, co-creating professional learning, and mentoring peers as well as pre-service teachers and counselors, Master Teachers and Master Counselors strengthen student engagement in STEM, support pathways to future careers, and share best practices across schools and districts. As educational leaders, they shape the future of teaching and learning in New York by uplifting the profession, inspiring the next generation, and advancing equity and innovation in STEM education.
