Classes are underway for the 2016-17 school year at SUNY Geneseo as the College welcomed the Class of 2020 and other new students to campus during the weekend.

Building on the solid foundation that has distinguished a Geneseo education for almost 150 years, a new strategic plan has been launched that supports the College’s mission to advance knowledge and inspire students to be socially responsible and globally aware citizens who are prepared for an enriched life and success in their careers.

SUNY Geneseo’s Departments of Biology and Chemistry will benefit from a National Science Foundation (NSF) major research instrumentation award of $38,125 for the purchase of a new imaging system.

As the start of the 2016-17 school year approaches, both new and returning students are preparing to arrive on campus to ready themselves for the beginning of classes Aug. 29.

SUNY Geneseo today launched a new, redesigned version of its website (geneseo.edu), combining a clean, visually-powerful and content-rich interface to afford a positive user experience. The revamped site was a collaboration between the Office of College Communications and Marketing, and the Department of Computing and Information Technology (CIT) with significant support from the Milne Library web team. It’s the College’s first major website update in eight years.

SUNY Geneseo is one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The guide included Geneseo in four other categories: Best Northeastern Colleges; Top 50 Green Colleges; and the Top 200 Colleges That Pay You Back.
